Jeremy Curtis joined STA Wealth Management as the Director of Financial Planning in 2020. He joined the team after years of experience, and over 1,000 cases in private wealth management and high net worth consulting with a fortune 100 financial services company. Prior to his career in financial services, Jeremy worked in healthcare administration, clinically as a surgical technician, and academically as a drug researcher. He has extensive experience in the planning areas that are important to business owners, start-up entrepreneurs, practicing physicians, and wealthy families facing generational wealth transfer planning issues. He is a skilled consultant,engaging presenter, and extensive writer. He takes great interest in explaining complex issues with precision and clarity in order to help clients make important decisions with confidence.
Jeremy graduated from Brigham Young University, and received both his Master of Science degree in Financial Planning and his Law Degree (JD) from Texas Tech University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™(CFP®). He has passed both the Texas and California bar exams (inactive status).
Jeremy has self–published a book on estate and life insurance planning and a book on the principles of wealth building and financial wisdom. He enjoys reading, writing, and acrylic painting (self-taught).
Jeremy and his wife, Kat, are the happy parents of two good-natured teenage boys and a bright, spiriteddaughter. Jeremy was raised in the Mountain West, in Idaho. His family is a mix of born-and-raised Texans, and Texans who got here as fast as they could. They have lived in San Antonio, Lubbock, Dallas, and now Houston. They are active in their church and find joy in family, faith, friends, freedom, and good Tex-Mex and Texas BBQ.
