Forbes Finance Council members continue to provide innovative financial services and tools to help everyone from startup founders to soon-to-be retirees make smart financial decisions. Not only that, they are also partnering with local nonprofits to give back to their communities and expanding with new locations. Below, we highlight five members and their big news.
Scott Bishop, executive vice president of financial planning at STA Wealth Management, is excited to share that the most recent version of his Retirement Survival Guide received many accolades and wonderful reviews when it was presented to the Houston CPA Society at its Personal Financial Planning Annual Conference. The guide received a rave review and a forward for the upcoming 2018 edition from nationally acclaimed IRA and retirement guru Ed Slott, CPA. Take a look at the forward and a diagram of the R.I.T.E. plan here.
Says Bishop: “Most financial advisors have been taught to help clients accumulate and grow their wealth. As both a CPA and CFP, with the acceleration of the baby boomer retirement, I have been working for years to increase my knowledge in tax efficient retirement distribution strategies for near or current retirees. I believe that having a tax management/minimization plan can reduce the tax drag on many retirement distribution plans, especially with so much wealth being accumulated in pre-tax IRA and 401(k) plans.” Scott also presenting this Webinar highlighting the Retirement Survival Guide to the Financial Planning Association in July 2018
